Can NonprofitSite123 incorporate Flash animation into my site?

Flash code currently has a security breach (which its vendor, Macromedia, may be addressing).

Flash code has the ability to access cookies, so it can therefore look at a user’s “session ID”, and do anything that the logged-in user can do – like change password, etc. For brochureware sites, this is inconsequential. But for a secure interactive site – such as the one you have created using NonprofitSite123, this poses a significant security concern. An example of a major site that doesn’t allow Flash is MySpace.

Luckily, CharityFinders’ technical team has come up with a safe way for you to include Flash code. If you want to incorporate Flash code in your site, you must e-mail it (not just a .swf file) to support@CharityFinders.com. We will scan the Flash source code to verify that it is “clean”. We will then post it to your site. This process typically requires 1-4 hours of time, which will be billed to you at $50/hour. In the unlikely event that it will require more than 4 hours, we’ll let you know within the first 2 hours.
